The project will unite in action sound and movement, bringing together local musicians of all ages, dancers of all ages, parents, grandparents, students, teachers, and any residents willing to participate and contribute a bit of their energy and attention. This project will create the holiday and joy in our community, summoning our creative energies and spirit to rise above darkness, divide and isolation.
This project will bridge the gap between production and consumption, between sound and movement, as these properties are inextricably linked from their inception in the Big Bang.
Step 1: LIVE SOUND
Local musicians / composers / music teachers / students select / create / learn waltzes from different cultures and times.
Step 2: MOVEMENT
Nina Jirka will be teaching by donations only the local community to dance waltzes. Music students – free admission. Their parents – any donations. Local dance community is invited. People without any movement or dance skills are invited and encouraged to participate.
Step 3: BRINGING SOUND AND MOVEMENT TOGETHER.
Live music and dance events – as many as the community desires!
